Things I've Been Seeing

Spring Snow on Baldy

I really don’t like to do it, but sometimes I see something so stunning when we are whizzing by in the car, and I know my only chance to record it is through the windshield, so I grab my camera and see what happens. Last week as we were leaving Crestline and heading up to Modesto, I looked across the valley and saw that Mount Baldy is still covered with snow. Not a bad shot through the front window of a Jeep, huh?

No, not a bad shot…at all. Good job. 🙂

    Thank you, sweet Tena.

Great shot…..the sign of a great photographer is to always have a camera ready….You just passed the “great photographer” test!

Martha, I love taking pictures. If I had just one more life I would study photography, and if I had a few more after that I would be a travel agent and a doctor and a lawyer and a journalist and a missionary and a university student and a violinist or a cellist…and….! No matter how tight my grip nor how quick my reach, I know I can never satiate my love of life and living during my remaining years. But, there’s Heaven, is there not. And as beautiful and wonderful as is life here on this ragged earth, can we even imagine how delightful will be our days when we get to eternity with Jesus, our Saviour. Blessed thought.

Despite your sweet words, and despite my passing one test, I know I am not in any way a great photographer. That understanding, though, does not diminish my joy in the process, and if I keep at it, I might produce one or two “great” photographs.

Wish we lived closer. For the day we could escape with our cameras and you could teach me. Love you much.

Reading why you started this blog reminded me of why I started mine even though I have two others but no use for pictures just being on the computer 😀

Love the picture, the way to my hometown looks very much like it.

  4. Thank you, Realistic for coming by to look over my images, and for the compliment. I was amazed to get the shot as were were probably traveling 50 to 55 miles per hour.

    Hope you return.
