Things I've Been Seeing

The Ponder (Day 12/365)

“The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” Number 6:25-26

As I prepared this post, which was to be (and is) a tribute to my friend, Pam Kern, who was expected to go see Jesus today, I received word that indeed, forty-five  minutes ago, she made the eternal transition.

Life…and death. The ultimate ponder.

  3. So sad to hear of Sis. Kern’s passing. So loved her laugh and love of life. She has gone on to her reward and is now awaiting us to arrive.

  5. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. 😦
    Seems SO much death lately!
Makes me want to die too, so I can go to heaven now. Sigh…

P.S. I love the photo composition; perfect for today. ♥u

  6. Tena, is that a figure of speech you’re using when you say you “want to die too, so I can go to heaven now,” or do you really mean that?

I’ve thought a lot about the fact that most people don’t want to die now, even though we know Heaven is waiting for us.

    I’m interested in your response.

    Love you.

    • Well…honestly, at the time I wrote it, last night, I really meant it at that moment. But when I do think that, and really mean it, immediately after, I feel guilty for being selfish; for my family and friends would hurt if I died now and I don’t want them to hurt.

To be really, really honest, I think about dying a lot. Ummm…even day dream about it; but not every day. (Hmmm…hope nothing is wrong with me.:/ ).

My mom tells me that when I was a little girl and we heard about someone dying, I would say, “He/she is lucky…they get to go to heaven.”

But…at this very moment, I don’t want to die! LOL! I have so much to do for people and I need to tell so many people about Jesus yet.

Love and admire you so much. Actually, you are one of my ten most favorite people in the whole world. 😀
