Winter Purple (Day 38/365)
Sixty degrees here in Paradise on this, the 7th day of February. Middle of the morning, we turned off the furnace, and in the bedrooms threw wide the windows for a “Spring” airing. Back in January I noted the daffodils had pushed up from the earth, and today when I looked, I see that buds have formed. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them blooming in the snow, if, that is, we are so blessed as to receive any more of the cold fluffy commodity.
Vinca is the ground cover on our front banks. The vibrant green leaves are now dotted with little purple blossoms.
