…and then there’s wood. (Day 125/365)
The sheriff’s department called Jerry a couple of days ago, saying they had firewood they could deliver to us for a very reasonable price. So, today, onto our driveway, they offloaded two cords of mixed wood–cedar, pine and a little bit of oak. I helped some with the stacking, but Jerry did most of it. He worked at it many hours, and before he called it a day, at least one cord had been stacked. We’ll tackle the rest of it tomorrow.
“Save this piece,” I said once to Jerry, for the piece of wood had a distinct orange color to it, and I wanted to show you.
