Things I've Been Seeing

True Corner Stones (Day 345/365)

“Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: . . .” Isaiah 28:16 King James version of the Bible.

Many in the United States of America (and surely other places around the world) view as sure foundations–corner stones, if you will–the Holy Bible, and the Constitution of the United States.

In this photograph, I placed the copy of the constitution atop the Bible, not because it is more important, but because the Bible and its teachings is the base for our constitution. Upon its principles is our country built. Our founders were clear concerning this issue.

During this beautiful season–my personal favorite of the year–we would do well to recall that the incarnation birthed Christmas. It was the coming of God as a baby that spangled the night with angels and a star, that startled shepherds and confounded kings. and that sent wise men on a long and treacherous journey.

On Judeo/Christian values is built the United States of America.
